Palmer’s Annual Parish Retreat at Camp Allen is scheduled for October 21–23, 2016 and we want YOU to join us for a special weekend of formation, fellowship and fun!
The Rev. Canon John W. Newton, Chief of Staff to the Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Texas will serve as the keynoter for the Saturday morning adult program. John is also the author of Falling into Grace: Exploring Our Inner Life with God and will give a hopeful and realistic look at what losing our life entails, articulating how “growth” in the Christian life is not our ascent to God but the process by which our eyes are opened to the beauty God has already given to us. John will talk with us about descending into God, and into our own inner depths, about the deep waters of the Christian faith. “Put out into the deep and let your nets down for a catch.” (Luke 5:4)
This parish weekend is just that—a weekend for the entire parish—not just families with children.
Situated on 1,100 acres in the serene piney woods of the Navasota area, Camp Allen provides a place to relax, refresh, and refocus.
The cost for the weekend is $50.00 per participant - including children.
