Roger Hutchison is the Director of Family Ministries and Digital Storytelling at Palmer Memorial Episcopal Church in Houston, Texas, where he has served on staff since 2015. His work centers on helping children, youth, and families encounter faith through creativity, storytelling, and compassionate presence.

Roger is an award-winning author, illustrator, speaker, and workshop leader whose work often explores themes of hope, healing, and attentiveness to the sacred in everyday life. He is particularly known for his pastoral and creative work with children affected by tragedy, as well as for his thoughtful openness about his own journey with ADHD, anxiety, and depression.

Through writing, art, photography, and digital storytelling, Roger seeks to create spaces where honesty, beauty, and grace can coexist—especially for those navigating grief, uncertainty, or transition.

Roger is also an award-winning nature photographer. His work has been exhibited at Houston’s St. Luke’s Hospital and reflects his deep belief in the healing power of the natural world.

Roger lives with his wife Kristin and daughter Riley just outside of Houston.
