Children in Worship & Liturgy Preparation
Our ministry with and alongside children seeks to embody our parish mission: to know and share the love of Jesus Christ. At Palmer, children are not guests in our midst—they are an essential and cherished part of our community. We welcome them fully, delight in their presence, and honor the ways they already participate in the life of faith.
As we journey with our youngest members, we strive to live into our baptismal covenant—promising to support one another in life in Christ and to help children grow in faith through prayer, story, relationship, and shared worship.
Liturgy Preparation (Liturgy Prep) is offered each Sunday during the 10:00 a.m. service. Children are invited to depart just before the Gospel and return to the sanctuary before Holy Communion. During this time, children gather for prayer, Bible stories, conversation, and community—exploring the rhythms and meaning of worship in age-appropriate and engaging ways.
Liturgy Prep is an invitation, not a requirement. All children are always welcome to remain in worship, and families are encouraged to choose what is best for their child each week.
All children are welcome. Always.
