Palmer is pleased to offer a new monthly offering called “Reel Theology” where we will discuss online a different film on the first Sunday of every month from 7 to 8 PM. For the month of May, Palmer's Communications Director Dustin Jesudason, will lead us in a discussion of Cool Hand Luke , a 1967 prison drama starring Paul Newman and featuring George Kennedy in an Oscar-winning performance. Newman stars in the title role as Luke, a prisoner in a Florida prison camp who refuses to submit to the system. His resistance and its consequences evoke numerous scenes from the Gospel of Luke and present a Jesus-like figure cast in 1950s Florida. It is currently streaming on Netflix. So watch it in the coming weeks, invite a friend to do the same, and join the conversation!
