Dinner & Discussion – Friday, May 20

Houston's own and widely recognized immigration attorney Charles Foster will be the featured speaker for Dinner & Discussion Friday, May 20. For many years an expert in our country's immigration policies and challenges, Foster will address the current U.S. response to refugees, as well as his thoughts about the future role the U.S. can play. After two years, Dinner & Discussion is returning to its original format. We will meet at 7 PM in the home of Ken & Susan Alexander (3727 Jardin St., Houston, TX 77005). The dinner is potluck. Please bring salad, main course, vegetable, or dessert to serve six. Beverages and hosting expenses are $2.50 per person. All are welcome, regardless of whether you have ever previously attended. This will be an in-person only event. For additional information, contact Joan Glover at  or 346-444-6096

September – May:  One Friday each month
7:00 – 8:30 PM

For more than 40 years, Palmer parishioners have gathered together to build relationships, enjoy delicious potluck dinners, and learn about current thought-provoking topics.

Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Dinner & Discussion moved from individuals’ homes to an online format. The importance of sharing together has not changed. As soon as it is safe to do so, Dinner & Discussion will return to its original format.

Many stimulating and interesting issues, selected by parishioners, were presented in recent years. These included: U.S. Healthcare World Ranking, Texas Politics, Palmer’s Fisk  Organ & Organist, Buffalo Bayou Park, and much more.

For additional information about upcoming events during 2021-2022, contact any member of the Dinner & Discussion planning committee: Don Tobin, Betty Key, Ken Alexander, Joan Baird Glover.
