DINNER & DISCUSSION SEPTEMBER 20 WITH ECONOMIST ED HIRS
Many of us experienced the failure of the Texas electricity supply chain during Winter Storm Uri, the Derecho, and Hurricane Beryl. At the September 20 Dinner & Discussion gathering, we are fortunate to have Ed Hirs, a leading energy economist at the University of Houston, explain this unwieldy system. Ed, who is recognized for his work across energy markets, environment, finance and corporate governance, founded and co-chairs an annual energy conference at Yale University. His articles and commentary are frequently seen in Forbes, The New York Times, The Houston Chronicle, Oil and Gas Investor, and a variety of national outlets. All are welcome to join Dinner & Discussion at the home of Jim and Betty Key (1816 North Boulevard, Houston 77098). Come at 7 PM and bring a dish to share with about six people, plus $3 each to cover beverage costs. If you have any questions, contact Betty Key at  .
