Ash Wednesday Services

Ash Wednesday is February 18. We will have three services at 7 AM, Noon, and 7 PM. There will be parking permits available for street parking at the 7 AM and noon services.

Ashes-to-Go

This year, Ash Wednesday falls on Wednesday, February 18th. As in years past, Palmers will take to the streets of the Texas Medical Center to help distribute ashes to those who would otherwise be unable to attend scheduled church services. In order to help make this happen, we're seeking volunteers for one‑hour shifts between 7am and 5pm. Whether you've participated in years past, or have never heard of ashes-to-go until now, all are welcome to take part! You can sign up by following this link or by adding your name to the paper sign‑up sheet located in the parish office. Volunteers will receive an email with additional details and instructions on February 11th.

Sundays in Lent

ADULT FORMATION– Sundays at 9:00 AM in ST. BEDE'S CHAPEL

This Lenten season, Adult Formation will explore the Sermon on the Mount through the lens of Amy-Jill Levine’s work, focusing on how Jesus’ teaching shapes the three classic pillars of Lent: giving alms, acts of service, and increased prayer. Each of these practices is deeply rooted in the Sermon on the Mount, making it a timely and meaningful guide for our Lenten journey.

Together, we will reflect on Jesus’ words, engage thoughtful conversation, and consider how these practices invite us into a deeper, more faithful way of living during Lent.

PARENTS OF YOUNG CHILDREN – Sundays at 9:00 AM in THE CANTERBURY ROOM

Parents of young children are invited to a welcoming Adult Formation gathering centered on spiritual practices for the highs and lows of parenting. Using Sacred Parenthood by Aizaiah G. Yong and Nereyda Yong, we’ll explore gentle, grounding practices that honor the sacredness of caregiving—amid joy, exhaustion, questions, and love.

This class is designed to be flexible, inclusive, and grace-filled. Come once. Come every week. Come rested or tired. Come with coffee in hand and questions in your heart. Each session stands on its own and offers space for reflection, conversation, and encouragement for parents and caregivers at every stage. You are welcome—just as you are.
