The Palmer Arts Community presents “Resurrection” April 10 – June 12 in Parish Hall in support of people impacted by the war in Ukraine. The exhibit includes works by Nataliya Scheib, born in Ukraine, who is best known for her labor-intensive collages, and Michael Roque Collins, recognized for producing some of the most profoundly affective figurative Post Symbolist paintings seen today in contemporary art. Ms. Scheib has been recognized for her Ukrainian style painting, “Roses and Hearts on the Blue Sky,” a part of Art Block Houston, installed on the façade of 901 Main Street in 2016. Michael was born in Houston and maintains his primary studio here with his wife Gayle. His works are primarily represented by LewAllen Galleries in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Proceeds from the sale of selected works will be sent to Episcopal Relief & Development’s Ukraine Crisis Response.
